Smoking on apartment balconies banned in Russia
Smoking on balconies of apartments will be banned under new fire regulations in Russia from October 1, which also covers living areas of dormitories and hotels. Lighting matches, candles and even barbecuing kebabs in the balcony will be considered ‘open fire’ under the new rules. Breaking the new rules could prompt a fine of up to 3,000 roubles (nearly ₹3,300).
