Divorces are harsh, a rough patch in one’s life that makes room for an unknown void. The void one tries to fill with monetary compensations in the name of alimony and child support. The end to certain marriages in Bollywood didn’t just break hearts but it also broke the bank of the parties involved. Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur

The official divorce happened in June 2016. Karisma is to get Sunjay's father's house (in Khar) transferred in her name. Sunjay has to purchase bonds worth Rs 14 crore for the children, which will attract a monthly interest of around Rs 10 lakh. She would also get the jewellery that was given to her by Sunjay and his family at the time of their marriage. Sunjay Kapoor recently married his girlfriend Priya Sachdev.
Farhan Akhtar And Adhuna Bhabani

Separating after 16 years of marriage, Farhan is going to pay one-time alimony to Adhuna, instead of a monthly maintenance. Aduna has also stated the desire of keeping the couple's home, Vipassana, a sprawling 10,000 square feet bungalow in Bandstad, Mumbai for herself.
Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan

They split up in 2014, and the alimony that Sussanne demanded was a stupendous sum of 400 crores. Even though Hrithik took to Twitter to deny this, rumours were rife that he paid her 380 crores. Later, they reported that they have got divorced in a very unique and elegant way where there is no alimony and not a single document drawn up between them. But if the rumors are to be believed, jaws have been dropped.
Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh

It is reported that Chote Nawab had to pay a hefty amount for the alimony and child support. The two didn’t get off on good terms. In an interview with Telegraph in 2005, Saif had stated, “I’m supposed to give Amrita Rs 5 crore, of which I’ve already given her approximately Rs 2.5 crore. Also, I’m paying Rs 1 lakh per month until my son becomes 18.”
