After the change in the Motor Vehicle Act by the Government of India, there is going to be a big change in your driving license too. The Government of India is going to implement a new rule from October 1 across the country. According to this new rule, now both your driving license and your vehicle registration certificate (RC) will have the same look. Now you have to update your driving license. A driving license with RC is very important in India.

Previously, the format, design, and color of Driving License (DL) and Registration Certificate (RC) were different in different states of India. But now DL and RC will be the same in the whole country. Apart from this, rules were also recorded separately in different states. But now it is not so. Shortly before this, the government had also issued a notification regarding this. According to the notification, information in DL and RC will be the same and in the same place.

The driving license and RC design will be the same across the country. Its printing will be the same throughout the whole country. Transport Department officials say that this will also facilitate those who take responsibility for traffic. After the new changes, there will be no confusion regarding driving license and vehicle registration certification. Following the new rule, microchip and QR code will be given in driving license or RC. This will prevent the previous record from being hidden. The QR code will enable the driver and vehicle to record all the previously recorded records from the central database.
