Arjun Kapoor was the first choice to play Kapil Dev in 83
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is in discussion about his new film 83. Recently he has completed the shooting of this film. In this sports-drama film, Ranveer Singh will be seen in the role of former cricketer Kapil Dev. The film is being directed by Kabir Khan. Deepika Padukone has also become a part of this film, but the first choice for this film was not Ranveer Singh but Arjun Kapoor.
According to the reports, earlier the film 83 was headed by director Sanjay Puran Singh and approached Arjun Kapoor for the role of Kapil Dev. But Arjun failed in the kind of fitness that the actor wanted for Kapil's role and Ranveer Singh got this role. After this, Director Sanjay also left the film due to profit dispute with the makers and producers. During an interview recently, Arjun had told that the producers wanted to cast him for the film Kabir Singh but he refused. He made it clear that he wanted to do this film but he thought it better to separate from the project, respecting the vision of the director of the film. He said that this film needed Sandeep Wanga.
Arjun Kapoor will be seen in the film Panipat. Arjun Kapoor has created a tremendous physique for his role in the film. The film is being directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. Prior to this he was in the lead role in the film The India's Most Wondet. However it proved to be a failure at the box office.
