Indian Women beat South Africa Women in the 2nd ODI by 5 wickets in a thrilling contest at Reliance Stadium in Vadodara and took 2-0 lead in the series. Chasing the target of 248 runs, India hit the target in 48th overs.

Punam Raut and Captain Mithali Raj played tremendous inning and amassed brilliant semi 100. Punam Raut made 65 off 92 balls lashed with 7 boundaries while as Mithali Raj struck 66 off 82 balls with help of 8 boundaries.

Harmanpreet Kaur made unbeaten 39 runs off 27 balls lashed with 5 boundaries & a six while as Taniya Bhatia made 8* runs. Ayabonga Khaka grabbed 3 for 69 runs while Shabnim Ismail and Marizanne Kapp shared 1 wicket each.

Earlier, Souqth Africa made 247/6 in 50 overs. Laura Wolvaardt made highest 69 off 98 balls lashed 7 boundaries while as Lizelle Lee made 40 off 54 balls included 3 fours & a six.
