Pollution! One Of The Biggest Problem In India.
"Look around, walk around, breathe clean air and don't litter the ground"
Pollution it's a great thinkable topic for all the human beings. The word Pollution refers to the contamination of the environment, having adverse effect to introduce factors like Industrialization, Deforestation, Inefficient waste disposal and population.
What is Pollution?
In simple way we can define Pollution as the presence in or introduction into the environment of a substance which has harmful or poisonous effects.
Pollution can be further classified into various categories Like Water-pollution, Air-pollution, Noise-pollution, Land-pollution, Light-pollution, Plastic-pollution, Electromagnetic-pollution, Littering, Radioactive-contamination, Thermal-pollution, etc...
  • Water pollution- The discharge of pollutant(waste material that pollutes air, water, or soil) material from commercial and industrial wastage into water bodies like River, Lake, Oceans, and Groundwater cause water pollution.
Water pollution is a major global problem, that requires evaluation and revision of water resource policy at all levels.
Water pollution occurs when pollutant are discharged directly or indirectly into water bodies without any treatment or removal of harmful components. Contaminated and polluted water now kills more people then all forms of violence including wars.
  • Air pollution- It refers to the contamination of atmospheric air due to the presence of some substances and gases which have harmful and poisonous effect. Day-by-day the fresh air of the environment is getting polluted because of the mixing of harmful particulates, biological molecules, harmful materials, and many harmful gases like carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and nitrogen oxides produced by industry and motor vehicles. Photo chemical ozone and smog are created as nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons react to sunlight.
  • Land pollution- The deterioration (destruction) of the earth's land surfaces, often directly or indirectly as a result of man's activities and their misuse of land-resources. Or in short we can say the contamination of soil is called land pollution. It is due to industrial revolution, destruction of natural things like forest and cutting too many tress, and also due to over population. and It causes disease in both humans and many other species of animals.

  • Light pollution- It is a new era's of pollution. Brightening of the night sky caused by street lights and other man-made sources, which has a disruptive effect on natural cycles and inhibits the observation of stars and planets. It's also the outcome of the excessive use of artificial light during night due to the commercialization, consumerism and urbanization. The pollution creates the content exposure to light which has a huge impact on the photosynthesis of a plant.
  • Noise pollution- Noise pollution or Sound pollution refers to the presence of excessive and disturbing noise from machine, vehicle, aircraft, trains, and loud music systems like DJ etc. Noise pollution is very harmful for our environment and also very harmful for the physical and mental health of living being of the earth.
  • Thermal pollution- Thermal pollution is defined as sudden increase or decrease in temperature of a natural body of water which may be ocean, lake, river or pond by human influence. This normally occurs when a plant or facility takes in water from a natural resource and puts it back with an altered temperature. Usually, these facilities use it as a cooling method for their machinery or to help better produce their products.
