1) The Hulk Hogan
He was PWI Wrestler of the Year of 1987, 1991 and 1994. The Hulkster ruled the professional wrestling for more than two decades. He had an incredible charismatic physical appearance which helped transform wrestling from a niche pastime and spread out over several regional promotions to a mainstream brand of worldwide entertainment. Hogan’s appearances in movies and television helped turn WWE into a billion-dollar industry and paved the way for today’s stars. His in-ring ability was not that great, as he is widely regarded as a below-average wrestler but still Hogan rarely lost a match.
2) Ric Flair
Ric happens to be 16-time world champion 16 and PWI Wrestler of the Year of 1981, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1989 and 1992. He was leading every promotion he has ever been in from the 1970s to the early 2000s and winning multiple World Championships at the same time. Flair is considered a legend for being able to generate reactions from the crowd. His incredible durability and wrestling abilities have made him a constant favourite whether he was playing a good guy or bad guy.
3) Bret Hart
Bret was born into a wrestling family and his father was a legendary wrestler and trainer. All of his brothers were in the wrestling business. He is arguably the best technical wrestler to date. Brett Hart becomes a very popular and successful wrestler and performer for his ability to “tell stories” through his intense matches.

4) Stone Cold: Steve Austin
Austin revolutionised the “Attitude” era of professional wrestling. Around mid-1990 wrestling was at its peak and he was one of the brightest stars. Austin was cheered by both hardcore and casual fans with his rebellious personality. Austin vs his boss Vince Mcmahon has proved to be one of the most successful wrestling angles ever portrayed in the history of WWE. The charismatic Austin was hugely popular due to his flawless microphone skills.

5) Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock is the all-time favourite wrestler of the Attitude era. Dwayne Johnson quickly went the way of Hollywood to make his fortune even better. He is the best athlete on this list and accomplished many achievements in the business in a very short amount of time. He is still wildly popular and extremely entertaining. The Rock would probably always be the best wrestler ever to pick up a microphone.
