What is Depression and How to Overcome from it

Commonly people above age 12 are common to undergo depression.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), depression is the most common illness worldwide and the leading cause of disability.
Depression seems more common among women than man. One can say that thinking too much on negative thoughts take you to depression.
Symptoms & Signs
- reduced interest or pleasure in activities previously enjoyed, loss of sexual desire.
- depressed mood.
- unintentional weight loss (without dieting) or low appetite.
- fatigue or loss of energy.
- recurrent thoughts of death or suicide, or attempt at suicide.
Causes
Causes of depression are not fully understood, it is bit complicated and not down to single source. Depression is likely due to some of the following facts.
- genetically
- biological
- psychology
- environmental
Depression can lead you to thought of suicide, make you drug addict or alcoholic. You may loose your social personality. It can take you to loneliness etc.

Treatment
Depression is a treatable mental illness. There are mainly three components.
- Support, ranging from discussing practical solutions and contributing stresses, to educating family members.
- Psychotherapy, also known as talking therapies, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
- Drug treatment, specifically antidepressants.
Best way to stay away from depression is to be busy in day to day life. Interact with people, doing excersise, playing etc.
