There is a clear rule in the country that bank workers can never ask for your password or OTP. In such a situation, if someone is asking you for such information, then understand that he is a fraud. Also, be cautious during online transactions, retail out late or when using your card at petrol pump.

And how to increase security
The best way to do this is to always change your password. But never create passwords that people can guess. Always keep them tricky. Include all types of characters and special characters in it. Apart from this, keep your bank account connected by mobile phone. At the same time, keep SMS alert service active in your bank account. As soon as this happens, you will know immediately as soon as there is a transaction in your bank account. If this transaction is wrong then you can also take the initiative to stop it.

In addition to bank account, debit and credit card security is a major responsibility of the customer. But the bank is equally responsible. RBI has issued guidelines for complaints related to wrong transactions. According to this, if any technical, negligence or personal information of the customer is leaked by the bank, then the customer will not be held responsible for it. If there is fraud with the account holder under the third party, neither the bank nor the account holder will be held responsible. Third party here means payment through website, online wallet, etc. If the online payment is made twice, the customer should inform the bank within 3 days.
