District collector offers 1 kg rice for 1 kg plastic in Telangana

District Collector of Mulugu District in Telangana, C Narayana Reddy, initiated a campaign under which 1 kg of rice is being offered in exchange for 1 kg of plastic waste. A total of 44,848 kg of plastic waste was deposited by the public, Reddy said. The campaign began in October and the plastic waste is being deposited in gram panchayats.
