1200 Year Old Piggy Bank Found In Israel Filled With Gold Coins

Israeli archaeologists have found a 1200 year old piggy during excavations. It has coins with gold. The Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) reported that the coins belong to the early Islamic period. They are found in the city of Yawan.

These were deposited in a broken earthen net which can be considered the piggy bank or piggy bank of that era. The excavation revealed a wide industrial area that had been active for centuries.
