A woman will play the role of a third umpire for the first time in men's international cricket. Jacqueline Williams of the West Indies will play the role of third umpire in the first T20 match against Ireland. The 43-year-old Jamaican woman will play the umpire in all three matches of the series.
Jacqueline said, 'It is a great honor for me that I am playing the role of TV umpire in a men's international match. I have umpired in men's matches before but this will be the first time I will be umpiring in any men's international match. She also thanked the ICC for their support. Also said that I want more and more women umpires to come forward in future.
