Railway Ministry increased train fares on New Year

The Railway Ministry has increased the fares of passenger trains on Tuesday. According to the order of the Ministry, the new fare will be applicable from January 1, 2020 i.e. from the first day of the new year. According to the order, the fare has been increased by the Ministry by the lowest one rupee per kilometer and the maximum by four paise per kilometer.

According to the list released by the ministry, no increase has been made on suburban unilateral travel and suburban and non-suburban seasonal tickets. At the same time, on the Ordinary tickets of Second Class Ordinary, Sleeper Class and First Class of ordinary nun AC trains, an increase of one paisa per kilometer has been done.

Apart from this, the fare has been increased at the rate of two paise per kilometer on second class, sleeper class and first class tickets of non AC Express and Mail trains. In addition, on AC trains, the fare has been increased at the rate of four paise per kilometer on AC Chaircar, Third Tier AC, Two Tier AC and AC First Class tickets.
