There are so many B-town celebrities who aren’t Indian, and that would surely surprise you. Many of them are from our neighboring and not-so neighboring countries. Some of them were born abroad while others took up the foreign citizenship legally. Doesn’t it sound astounding that few of our favorite Bollywood celebrities don’t even have an Indian passport?
Helen
The first foreign actress to appear in Hindi films was Helen Jairag Richardson. She was born in Burma in 1938 to an Anglo-Indian father and a Burmese mother. She appeared in over 100 movies mainly as a dancer and singer and that must make her the first item girl of Bollywood as well.
Akshay kumar
While Akshay was born in Amritsar, Punjab, he grew up in Delhi. Before he became a Bollywood star, he was learning martial arts in Bangkok. He can’t vote in India. That’s because he holds a Canadian passport and had to give up his Indian citizenship for the same.
Amy Jackson
This light-eyed beauty is British to the core. This ‘Ek Tha Deewana’ actress started her career as a British model and actress, and later signed for films not just in Hindi but down south in Tamil and Telugu movies as well.
