Astronomers have detected the world's largest explosion of 39 million light years from Earth. This is the biggest explosion since 'Big Bang'. Astronomers used India's giant metrewave radio telescope in Pune, NASA Chandra X-ray Observatory and the European Space Agency's radio telescope to detect this.

This showed that the explosion occurred in the Ophiuchus galaxy cluster, which is 39 million light years away from Earth. Astronomers said that the explosion emitted 5 times more energy than the explosion in galaxy cluster MS 0735 + 74.

Melanie Johnston Hollitt of Curtin University, Australia, said - "We have seen many explosions between galaxies, but this explosion is really tremendous."
