New Delhi: In the murder case of Intelligence Bureau officer Ankit Sharma, expelled Aam Aadmi Party Councillor Tahir Hussain’s brother, who is also an accused has been detained by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police.
Shah Alam’s name was also surfaced during the investigation into the case.
According to Crime Branch sources, Shah Alam was also present in the building in Chand Bagh when the violence took place there. The witnesses, whose statements have been recorded by the Crime Branch, have mentioned Shah Alam’s name in the violence case.
Delhi’s Karkardooma Court had rejected suspended AAP Councillor Tahir Hussain’s anticipatory bail plea.
In the FIR, Hussain’s name has been registered over the murder of IB officer during the Delhi riots, who body was recovered from a drain in Chand Bagh on February 26.
