The Great White Shark
The Great White Shark affectionately called "Great White" belongs to group of Sharks named Mackerel Sharks. They are found in the Coastal Surface Waters of all the major Oceans.
They range between 3.5 to 5 m long and weigh on Average 1300kg. Females are large than Males. They are Grey in color from top and white underneath.
On an Average they have 3000 teeth in their mouth, all in Rows and Triangle in Shape. They are slanted on an angle inwards, which helps keep hold of their prey.
Their teeth is made up of Dentin, a hard calcified tissue. If the teeth is worn out they are replaced immediately. Teeths of front row are strong and used to catch prey.
Being predatory animals, they feed on other fish, including other sharks. They can even tackle small Whales.
