Superstars Akshay Kumar and Salman khan have made it to the Forbes’ list of the highest paid male actors. The Hollywood stars in the list include Will Smith, George Clooney, Robert Downey Junior and Chris Hemsworth. Akshay Kumar is in the seventh position while Salman Khan takes the ninth spot. Akshay Kumar is said to have earned 40.5 million US Dollars and Salman Khan has earned 38.5 million US Dollars.
Akshay Kumars recent leap into the seventh position came as a result of committing to many socially important and message driven movies like Pad Man and Toilet. Pad Man tells the story of Arunachalam Muruganantham who introduced low- cost sanitary napkins to the rural women and Toilet tells the story of importance in sanitation facilities in the rural parts of India. Akshay Kumar is also the ambassador to huge brands like Tata and Eveready.
Salman Khan who often makes into the list cemented his spot through his movies Tiger Zinda Hai and Race3. He is also the host for popular television series Dus Ka Dum. He also endorses huge brands like Suzuki motorcycles and Chlormint gum. Salam Khan also has a strong presence in all the major film award nights which also adds up hugely to his star value.
The first position was secured by George Clooney followed by people’s favourite Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson from movies including Rampage, Jumanji etc. Robert Downey Jr comes in the third spot with his Marvel Iron man success followed by Chris Hemsworth who made success as Thor in Marvel movies. They are followed by Jackie Chan, Will Smith, Adam Sandler and Chris Evans who plays Captain America in the Marvel Movie Series.
