From the past few days, it is being heard that Samantha will play the titular role in the biopic of Carnatic singer and social activist Bangalore Nagarathnamma. Although there is no official confirmation on this the buzz is strong in the film Nagar.
Singeetam Srinivasa Rao is known for creating films across multiple genres in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi language. If the reports turn out to be true, he will be sitting on the director chair after a hiatus of over seven years. His last directorial venture was 2013 Telugu film, Welcome Obama.
However, clarity on whether Sam has signed on the dotted line or not will emerge only after the lockdown period ends. This ambitious period drama will be directed by legendary filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasarao. Noted Tollywood production house People Media Factory will be bankrolling this multilingual film.
