Everywhere Peoples are getting affected from Corona Virus and thus all the sport events are getting postponed till the further notice. According to the sources it is found that T20 world cup of the year 2020 will be held at Australia, but due to the corona virus infection australian prime minister announced 3 months lockdown in the australian country.
Now, it is very important for the teams to reach at australia before minimum one and half month so that they can have their practice and can get ready for the world cup tournament 2020 but as per the situation it looks like it is impossible for all the teams to reach on such period.
Australian lockdown period will be end on the month of the mid of september and it is been assumed that world cup teams will reached to australia in the month of september only because the month of october will be the month of world cup 2020. It may get affected because each and every player from outside country may or may not get the pass to enter australia because of the fear of spreading the corona virus disease. Thus as a result we can say that world cup 2020 may get postponed and schedules and format may get rearranged.
According to the sources it is also said that ICC had a teleconferencing meeting where they have decided to postponed the T20 World Cup 2020. It is also assuming that the tournament may take place on the month of December 2020 or on the month of January 2021. There is a possibility of having IPL in the place of World Cup 2020 on the month of october. At this stage it is impossible for the world cup 2020 to take place on the same date that is mentioned because of the lack of practice and also the less involvement by the other country in such situation. There is not a single chance to postponed the venue because all the money and prizes are already given to australian cricket council by ICC.
