Dhokla is the traditional dish of Gujrat. People have this traditional dish as their breakfast. Dhokla is made up of gram flour and semolina. It is a very simple recipe to prepare. So let's see how to make dhokla.

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup semolina or rava
  • 1/2 cup gram flour
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt as required

Method:
  • Firstly take a cake pan and grease oil to it so that the batter will not stick to pan.
  • Now take a big bowl and mix gram flour and semolina well.
  • Later, add baking soda, salt and oil to it. Mix it well.
  • Add water to it to make a flowing paste. After the batter is ready, add lemon juice to it.
  • Mix the batter well and ensure thst no lumps are formed in the batter.
  • Do not overmix the batter. Now pour this batter in a greased cake pan and put it in a pressure cooker.
  • Let it cook for 15 minutes on a high flame. Do not use whistle of the pressure cooker.
  • After 15 minutes, turn off the flame and the Dhokla is ready.
