Dhokla is the traditional dish of Gujrat. People have this traditional dish as their breakfast. Dhokla is made up of gram flour and semolina. It is a very simple recipe to prepare. So let's see how to make dhokla.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup semolina or rava
- 1/2 cup gram flour
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- Salt as required
Method:
- Firstly take a cake pan and grease oil to it so that the batter will not stick to pan.
- Now take a big bowl and mix gram flour and semolina well.
- Later, add baking soda, salt and oil to it. Mix it well.
- Add water to it to make a flowing paste. After the batter is ready, add lemon juice to it.
- Mix the batter well and ensure thst no lumps are formed in the batter.
- Do not overmix the batter. Now pour this batter in a greased cake pan and put it in a pressure cooker.
- Let it cook for 15 minutes on a high flame. Do not use whistle of the pressure cooker.
- After 15 minutes, turn off the flame and the Dhokla is ready.
