Even the people who don’t like chocolate likes it in someway and everyone is one of those people. Chocolate is a melting happiness that you don’t swallow because it doesn’t go in your stomach, it have a direct route to your heart. It’s calms you, sooths you and the only word that escapes your mouth is “mmmmmm”.

All chocolate starts it’s journey from coca beans or nibs. They have a nutty taste with a bitter aftertaste. The earliest evidence of use traces to the Olmecs (Mexico), with evidence of chocolate beverages dating to 1900 BC. Today chocolate have evolved itself but which one is the best know taste of chocolate we all are dying for?

A Danish artisan chocolatier, Fritz Knipschildt, sometimes known as the Willy Wonka of Connecticut, prepared the La Madeline au TruffeIt. It is not just the most expensive chocolate but is recognized by Guinness book and Forbes as the most expensive chocolate. 
What makes La Madeline au TruffeIt so expensive?
The most important ingredient in La Madeline au Truffe's is a rare French Perigord truffle that accounts for its high price. The truffle is then surrounded by a ganache of heavy cream, sugar, truffle oil and vanilla coated in 70% Valrhona dark chocolate and rolled in fine cocoa powder. Each chocolate weights about 54 grams, but the price is $ 250.

Its crown-shaped box is decorated with 5,500 Swarovski crystals and also carries personalized pincers. The Madeleine must be ordered in advance, and each chocolate comes with a personally signed card explaining how it was made and a unique serial number. The preservation time is only 14 days and only 7 days in the boutiques.
