New Delhi: Virat Kohli and Australian ace, Steve Smith are two of the most classic batsmen of the present times. Both of them have the capacity to outclass any big hitter in the world with their finesse. Everyone is aware about the duo’s on field equation but to people’s surprise, they have equally great terms off-field.
Smith recently appeared on Star Sport’s show ‘Cricket Connected’ and opened on his latest conversation with Kohli. Smith talked to Kohli to know the conditions in India pertaining to coronavirus. “I had few conversations with him (Virat) off the field. Few messages here and there in recent times just to see how things are going in India,” said Smith. Smith also praised Kohli about his gesture of ‘asking crowd to stop booing him and Warner during WC19’.
Steve Smith on Virat Kohli
“He is a terrific guy and we both play hard out on the field and play as well for our respective teams and its part of the game. Virat’s gesture in the World Cup to the Indian fans that were giving Me (Smith) and David Warner little bit of a stick, I appreciated that and I share that with him straight up.”
