Even as the central government is busy patting itself for containing COVID-19 in country, the pandemic is only escalating with each passing day, particularly in metros like Delhi and Mumbai. Experts attribute this explosion of cases to high population density and more families living in one room house. According to 2014 Census report, in Mumbai, half of the population is either homeless/living in one room house, whereas in Delhi, this figure is 40 percent.
