The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Thursday that 2,50,087 Indian nationals stranded abroad have been brought back since the launch of the Vande Bharat Mission last month. The Vande Bharat Mission, which started on May 7 to evacuate Indians trapped abroad due to Corona virus epidemic, is in its third phase. Under the third phase, India will have 550 flights including 191 feeder flights.
On the other hand, GoAir ended Phase 3 of the Vande Bharat Mission repatriation flights with a total of three flights from Kuwait to Ahmedabad, Dammam to Lucknow and Abu Dhabi to Ahmedabad. On 18 June, GoAir's Flight G8 7098, which flew from Kuwait, helped reunite 180 stranded civilians with their families.
On 19 June, the GoAir Flight G8 7093 flew from Dammam and helped reunite 180 stranded civilians with their families and on 20 June landed the GoAir Flight G8 7095 from Abu Dhabi and 176 stranded civilians from their families. Helped to mix.
GoAir operated all these flights under strict adherence to all precautionary measures and guidelines prescribed by the respective governments.
