Ranveer Singh preps for Zoya Akhtar’s gangster drama, visits hairstylist for new looks

Ranveer Singh had his last outing with Zoya Akhtar and received acclamation for his portrayal of a rapper in the musical drama, Gully Boy. While the actor will next be seen in the sports-drama, 83, he has started prepping up for Zoya Akhtar's next crime-drama which reportedly stars Katrina Kaif opposite Singh.

Owing to the viral pandemic, the film industry has indefinitely slowed down while production activities were completely halted for some months. ing some relaxations in the imposed nationwide lockdown, Ranveer Singh has started working on his pending projects and went for a style test for his next outing with filmmaker Zoya Akhtar. The Gully Boy actor met hairstylist Darshan Yewalekar in his Bandra salon with necessary precautionary measures in place.

Yewalekar has earlier styled Ranveer Singh's look for several movies including Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, and Gully Boy, creating a great repo with the actor. For the Zoya Akhtar's untitled crime-drama, Yewalekar tried and tested multiple looks for a clean-shaven cop and an undercover agent. In the movie, Ranveer will play a cop who goes undercover to infiltrate the underworld crime.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar is working on the cast of her next movie and reports suggest that she has approached Katrina Kaif to play the leading lady. While we are still awaiting official announcements, the movie is expected to go on the floors in 2021 if everything falls into place.
