Android Kunjappan is the story of a conventional, conservative small town villager and his son who has to move away from home due to his profession .This relationship gets an endearing twist when an AI humanoid enters their lives and fills in their emptiness.

You are that product of late 18thcentury who find it really really hard to accept the changing sphere with all its dishonesty and deception. When world went behind innovation and technology you liked to sit in that corner reminiscing the past .You enjoyed strolling the neighborhood gossiping with locals even while throwing forth an adamant face forward. You enjoyed intimacy and had the fear of losing people especially your son, the only thing that you possessed.
After introducing a robot to look after you ,I could see how you found human traits in that iron stuffed creature and started a sense of intimacy with it .You dressed the robot up, so it’s private areas are not displayed, called him by name, allotted him time to sleep and even dried up his head after it got wet so that he won’t be prone to diseases. Even being within the limits of a machine what the robot gave you was time and the display of endurance. You shared secrets from your sweet past and grief of your bitter present.
Things became more heart wrenching when the robot was replaced by your own son in your mind that you took the robot even for the death-rituals of your wife and after being saved from death from the mis-programmed robot you saw your son as a robot so as you could love him in the future.Both of you were more like two programmed minds coping with each other, one programmed by emotions and expectations and the other by AI. When the story reaches its end, when robot is separated from you with compulsion, the question when does technology become too much arises as human emotions start to be involved in the process.
