After the official announcement for the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League on Snyder's live Q&A which also saw Henry Cavill join in as a special guest to give fans the much awaited answer to their prayers and hard work. Immediately after the announcement, fans were eager to know the release date of the movie and it was only hinted that the movie would be released in 2021. However, and HBO Max Executive has revealed that it has been planned for an early release of the cut, most probably in spring or before that. Even though the official release date has not been revealed but it is expected to be revealed once the official trailer comes out which is highly expected to be during the upcoming DC Comic Con event known as "DC Fandome".
The Zack Snyder's Justice League also popularly known as The Snyder Cut is rumored to be split up into episodes as the movie itself has a run-time of about four and a half hour long and it would be more logical to release it as a short series as it will be released in a streaming service and not in a theater or direct DVD or Blu-ray. However, after releasing all the episodes, it most certainly will be released as a whole movie for fans to buy and collect in their DCEU collections. But it has not been announced yet as the decision depends on the director Zack Snyder, and ultimately he will be the one to decide on how to release his movie.
Snyder has been given an amount of about $30 million to complete his edits and visual effects that he unfortunately couldn't complete due to a family tragedy back in 2017. Snyder has expressed his desire to shoot some extra scenes that he hadn't been able to shoot during the time, and now it entirely depends on if the actors would be willing to return for some extra scenes. However, Snyder has shared a teaser a few weeks ago showing a complete scene of the iconic villain Darkseid in his movie which looks like he may not shoot extra scenes for his movie, but only time will tell.
