Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman dies of colon cancer at 43

Renowned American actor Chadwick Boseman, best known for portraying comic book-based character Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, left for his heavenly abode on Friday. Boseman died of colon cancer at an age of 43 in his home with his wife and family member by his side.

The late actor's representative took to Twitter to announce the news and wrote, "A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honor of his career to bring King T'Challa to life in Black Panther."

Chadwick Boseman started his career with television and rose to fame by essaying Black icons Jackie Robinson and James Brown before found his calling for the superhero character of Black Panther in MCU. His fans and friends took to the social media handles to remember the actor and celebrated his performances by writing, "Wakanda Forever!".
