If the phone has Google Contacts App
If you use a stock Android phone, then the Google Contacts app is pre-installed in it. If the phone has this app, then the contact can be recovered easily. It is also easy for those users who have already installed this app in their other phones.
. Now to recover the contacts, open the Google Contacts app in your phone.
. Here the Hamburger menu will be found on the left in the top, after clicking on it, go to the Settings option.
. In this, you will get an undo change option under the manage contact by scrolling downwards. After clicking on it, select the Google account from which you have to restore your contact.
. Here the dialog box will open now, select the time in it, which you want to un-do. For example, if the contact has been deleted some time before, you can select 10 minutes or if it has happened before, then the time will have to be selected accordingly. Here you will be asked if you want to change the backup contact information. After this you have to tap on the confirm button. Then you will restore your contact.
If the phone does not have Google Contacts App
If your phone does not have a Google Contact app, then you can recover the contact in a web based way.
. For this, open Google contacts on phone or computer. Here, click on the gear icon in the corner on the right. Then you have to click on the un-do change option here.
. After this, here too, you have to select the time to change the un-do and confirm it. After that, the deleted contact will be recovered again.
. If you want to recover the contact directly from Google account backup, here you have to select the restore contact after going to Android phone settings and clicking on set up and restore. With this, you will be able to recover the contact.
