Bihar government on Friday said that it would oppose the petition filed by actress Rhea Chakraborty in the Supreme Court, in which an FIR was filed in connection with the suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The jurisdiction of Patna Police has been challenged in relation to conducting and starting investigations. Advocate General Lalit Kishore said that Mukul Rohatgi will represent the state in the apex court.
Kishore said "Although we have not requested for inclusion as a party in the case filed by Chakraborty, we will oppose his plea as it challenges the jurisdiction of the state of Bihar." He said that this FIR has been filed on the basis of complaint of Rajput's father. He said that Rajput's father lives in Patna and hence this matter comes under the jurisdiction of the state.
Kishore said, "If a case is found to be related to some other place, then there are many examples of cases being registered even from the spot. " He also called Chakraborty 's claim that all cases related to this should be handed over to the Mumbai Police. Kishore said, "The Patna police had registered the first FIR in this case. How can Mumbai police investigate without filing a proper case? "

Rajput's father KK Singh has alleged Rhea Chakraborty that the actress used her son's reputation in Bollywood to pursue her career, trying to tarnish relations between Rajput and her family , with the help of sly doctors, fed medicines to Rajput for mental illness and blackmailed Rajput by threatening to make his son's information public to hurt his son's reputation.

Singh also alleged that at least 15 crore rupees were withdrawn from his son's bank account and that the account had access to Chakraborty and his family members. He alleged that barely a week before Rajput committed suicide, Chakraborty came to his son's house and stole his laptop, ATM card and other important documents.
