The Dream 11 IPL-13 battle will begin with an explosive match between former champions Mumbai Indians and runners-up Chennai Super Kings in Abu Dhabi on 19 September. The IPL is being held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 19 September to 10 November this time due to the global epidemic corona.
The governing council of the IPL announced the event on Sunday, with 13 days left for the tournament to begin. The first match will be played between the two finalist teams of the previous edition, Mumbai and Chennai. Mumbai, led by Rohit Sharma, has won this title four times while the Chennai team led by Mahendra Bhasah Dhoni has been the champion three times. The tournament matches will be played in three UAE cities - Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. The venue and schedule of the tournament's playoff matches will be announced later.
After the tournament started on 19 September, the first match in Dubai on 20 September and the second match of the tournament will be played between Delhi Capitals and Axis XI Punjab, while on 21 September, Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore in Dubai. .
The first match in Sharjah and the fourth match of the tournament will be played on 22 September where Rajasthan Royals will face Dhoni's Chennai. This match will be Chennai's second match in the tournament. After this, two-time winners Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on Mumbai on 23 September in Abu Dhabi.
Two matches will be played 10 times a day in the IPL. On the day of two matches, the first match will start at 3:30 pm Indian time and the second match will start at 7:30 pm. All the matches of the evening will be played from 7.30 pm Indian time. 24 matches will be played in Dubai, 20 in Abu Dhabi and 12 in Sharjah.
The last match of the total 56 matches of the league round will be played on 3 November between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians in Sharjah. The playoff and final venues will be announced later.
