Mario Casas: From teenage star to successful (and coveted) actor!

It is the clear example of how to leave behind the figure of teenage star to become one of the most interesting interpreters in the country. Mario Casas (La Coruña, 1986) has shown that he is capable of that and more, and this is denoted by the metamorphosis he has suffered over the years .

Although his figure will always be linked to that of the handsome actor, you just have to take a look at his filmography to verify his talent . In fact, directors such as Fernando González Molina and Álex de la Iglesia have included the Galician among their cast on several occasions.

His first important film role came in 2006 from the hand of Antonio Banderas and his production El Camino de los ingleses, where he played Moratalla, a young man who lived in the fun of the superficiality produced by not having matured yet. In 2007, he participated in the youth series SMS, where he played a geek teenager , a role that he would play again two years later in the box office Fuga de cerebros , his first job with González Molina. There, Mario Casas gave life to a shy and lousy student who, helped by his friends, decides to follow the intelligent girl with whom he is in love to Oxford.

In 2009, he was part of the cast of Mentiras y gordas, with a role that only confirmed the fame he was achieving thanks to the series Los Hombres de Paco. The latter would make him one of the most acclaimed (and seductive) characters on television . In this fiction, Mario Casas gave life to a young and attractive policeman who was somewhat cool. This would be the charisma that would accompany him in his following titles: Neon Meat , Group 7 and the Spanish adaptations of the works by Federico Moccia, Three meters above the sky and I have desire for you , both directed by Fernando González Molina.
