Mouth Watering Kachori Chat Delicious Recipe

 

Kachori chat is one of the most popular North -Indian chaats that has so many flavors that will burst in your mouth in just a bite Street food usually served with green and sweet chutney. There is a bundle of flavors in this one snack. It can be served as an evening snack or starter at parties.

  • Wheat flour - 1 cup
  • Moong dal - 1/2 cup
  • Green peas - 1/2 cup soaked and boiled
  • Chat masala - 1 spoon
  • Mango powder - 3/4 spoons
  • Fennel - 3/4 spoon
  • Turmeric - a pinch
  • Salt - as required
  • Jeera powder - 1/2 spoon
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 spoon
  • Oil as required to fry the kachoris
  • Water as required
  • Butter - 1/2 cup
  • Chili powder

Procedure:

1 In a pan, dry roast the moong dal and grind into a coarse powder. In a bowl, mix moong powder, fennel, salt, chili powder, mango powder, Jeera powder, coriander powder, and turmeric. Mix well. Add some water so that the moong mixture forms a crumbled texture. In a bowl, mix wheat flour, salt, butter, water to form the dough.

credit:party image reference2.Roll a small lump of the dough thin and fill in the moong mixture. Press the edges thin and let the middle part be as it is. Deep fry in the hot oil on medium-low flame till golden brown to make kachoris.

credit:party image reference3.In a plate, arrange kachori, top with green and sweet chutneys, onions, and sev. Salt, chat masala, and chili powder as required. Or on a plate, arrange broken kachori pieces. Add green peas masala sauteed in butter. Top with green and sweet chutneys, onions, and sev. I didn’t add chat powder, salt, and chili powder as they are in kachori and green peas masala.
