Aloo Tikki is crispy from outside and soft from inside. It is street food in North India. This recipe is one of the loved street food. It will please your taste buds. It will remind you of the authentic flavor of Aloo Tikki. Aloo Tikki is one of my most favorite street food and I was craving for it for a long time. Hence made it today!
- 4 large size Potatoes, boiled
 - 4 tablespoons Dry Breadcrumbs
 - Butter
 - fennel seeds
 - 3 tablespoon Cornflour (cornstarch)
 - 3 tablespoon flour (maida)
 - 1 teaspoon grated Ginger
 - 2 Green Chillies, seeded and finely chopped
 - 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
 - 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
 - 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
 - 1 teaspoon Dry Mango Powder
 - 1 teaspoon Maggi masala (optional)
 - Salt as per your taste
 - Oil to shallow fry the Tikki
 
Recipe:
1. Boil 3-4 potatoes and mash it well. Crush one cup soaked and boiled chana dal and mix with the mashed potatoes. Add green chilies, dry bread crumbs, cornflour, flour, crushed fennel seeds, roasted cumin powder, mango powder, ginger chopped, Maggi masala salt, and some coriander leaves. Mix all of them well.
3. In a pan, take enough oil and place the Tikkis and cook them for three minutes each side on medium flame.
