Drug Case: Riya Chakraborty gets bail! The Bail application of Brother Shovik rejected!

Riya Chakraborty has got bail and nearly a month after her arrest on drug-related charges in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, Riya is now set to get out of jail. However, the Bombay High Court has not granted any bail to her brother Shovik.

Another court extended her judicial custody till 20 October yesterday. Sushant Singh Rajput employees Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda have also been granted bail.

Riya Chakraborty's lawyer Satish Maneshinde said, "We are happy with the order. Truth and justice have prevailed and finally, the presentations on facts and law have been accepted by Justice Sarang V Kotwal."

Mr. Maneshinde said "Riya's arrest and detention were completely unfair and beyond the reach of the law. Hounding and poaching by three central agencies, CBI, Enforcement Directorate, and Narcotics Control Bureau, should be abolished. We are committed to the truth. Satyameva Jayate, ".

Riya Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on 8 September on charges of drugs available to Sushant Singh Rajput, a popular film star, who was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on 14 June.

She was accused of "being active in her drugs syndicate and providing drugs used by Sushant Singh Rajput".

In her plea, Riya Chakraborty said that she and her brother were simultaneously targets of a witch-hunt by several agencies, who had not found any evidence in the case.

Riya Chakraborty also argued that the charges against her were very serious compared to the number of drugs involved.

The CBI is investigating the circumstances of Sushant Singh Rajput's death and the Enforcement Directorate is looking into the financial allegations leveled by the actor's father.

The Narcotics Control Bureau stepped into the Sushant Singh Rajput investigation when the message was retrieved from WhatsApp chats Riya Chakraborty's phone, which included the purchase of drugs in the alleged conversation.

Several top actors have been questioned by the Anti-Drugs Bureau in a wide-ranging investigation into the drugs and film industry.
