Halwa Puri is very famous in Guntur district. Where most do. Very easy to do. Even if these last at least 3-4 days. It's great for kids too.
Ingredients:
For Halwa:
Bombay Ravva- 250 gms
Sugar- 200 gms
Milk- 250ml
Water- 250 ml
Yalakalapodi- 1 tsp
Ghee- 1 tbsp
For Puri:
Flour / wheat flour - 2 cups
Adequate watering
Ghee- 1 tbsp
Oil - not enough for frying
Policy:
Melt 1 tbsp ghee, add rava and cook for 4-5 minutes.
Now add milk, water and boil it. When the milk boils then add sugar, cinnamon powder and let the sugar melt.
Now add rava and mix well and let it come close till it becomes lumpy. Then remove and let cool completely.
Now pour enough water in the flour or wheat flour and knead the dough well. Add 1 tbsp ghee and mix well and let the flour soak for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, take a large lemon-sized dough, put oil on a plastic sheet, lightly knead the dough, put the cooled halva paste in it and seal with flour.
Once sealed, knead the dough so that the pudding does not come out.
Then fry in hot oil until red, then strain it through a sieve.
These are good to eat hot and cold.
Tips:
Add a little less of the sweetness in this halva, add whatever you like.
Fry these puris in hot hot oil or absorb the oil
