Here’s my favorite Schezwan Cheese Veg Frankie Roll, which can be made for breakfast, evening snacks, or even packed for a tiffin. This Frankie recipe is inspired by Mumbai Frankies, which are loaded with schezwan sauce, veggies, potato stuffing, and cheese. So let's see its delicious and spicy recipe.
For the Franky base(dough)
- Flour (maida)- 1.5 cups
- Salt
- Water- 1/2 cup
- Oil- 2-3 tsp
- Black pepper
For the stuffing
- Green chilly - 2
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Tomato ketchup- 1 tbsp
- Red chilly powder(Lal Mirch)- 1 tsp
- Salt
- Schezwan sauce
- Boiled potatoes- 1 cup
- vegetables of your choice
- Freshly chopped Coriander
Instructions:
1. For the dough in a bowl, take flour, black pepper, salt, oil, and mix them. Add water as required and knead a soft dough out of it. Add oil to the mix if required. Rest the dough for 20-25 minutes. Divide the dough into equal balls and make Rotis. Use ghee while making the Rotis.
2. For the filling in a wok, add ½ tbsp oil and 2 tbsp ghee/butter. Once it heats, adds ginger chili paste, saute it for a minute and add boiled potatoes, schezwan sauce, salt, bhaji pav masala and mix it all well. Saute it for 5 minutes on medium heat.
3. Heat the roti on a pan. Spread schezwan sauce and ketchup as required. Add grated and chopped cabbage, carrots, and capsicums.Add the prepared filling and grated cheese. Roll it properly and cook this Frankie on Tawa for 5-10 minutes.
