Try this Non-Sticky Sabudana Ki Khichadi

 

India is land of festivals. And with festivals the season of fasting also comes. And this is a time for Navratri. In Navratri many of us do fast and we also look for different types of faryali dishes which are tasty and delicious too. So are you also looking for one such type faryali dish for navratri. Then this dish is for you. Many of you listen about this sabudana ki khichadi it is very common in India but many times it turns sticky, that is why today I had bought a non-sticky and tasty sabudana ki khichadi. It is very easy to make and it is a very famous street food in India. Try this recipe and share this with others too so that others can also try this. 

Ingredients:-

180g sabudana

Water

Oil

½ tsp cumin seeds 

1 medium potato 

2 tbsp raw peanuts

2 green chili chopped

6 curry leaves

Salt

Sugar

Lemon juice

Coriander leaves

Procedure:-

Rinse sabudana under water again and again until the water turns clear.

Transfer the sabudana to a large bowl and add 1 cup water to it 

Leave it for 7-8 hours 

When sabudana soaked up, drain the water.

Put some hot water in it and mix well with hand, again drain the water 

While pressing a single sabudana with fingers it would smash easily, this is the sign that the sabudana is soaked perfectly

Heat oil in a pan on medium flame. Add cumin seeds when the oil is hot and let them sizzle for few seconds

Then add chopped potatoes and cook it for 3-4 minutes 

Add raw peanuts and cook it for 3-4 minutes 

Then add green chili, curry leaves and cook it

Add sabudana to the pan

Add some salt and sugar (according to your taste).

Cook it for few minutes, donot overcook it otherwise it become sticky 

Remove pan from the stove.

Add coriander and lemon juice and mix it well.

Now your non-sticky sabudana ki khichadi is ready.
