The good thing with Android smartphones is that they get a lot of customization freedom. But a bit disturbing with them is that slowly the internal memory keeps on filling. You can improve the performance of the phone by emptying the internal storage in a few easy ways. Come, learn how you can empty internal storage in 5 steps…
Uninstall unnecessary applications
You can download many apps from Android Playstore. But there are many apps that we install, but are unable to use later. Uninstall apps that do not work like this. For this, go inside the apps in the settings, delete it or go to the app drawer and touch and hold the icon. From this you will see the option to uninstall.
Clear cash memory
Due to the many things being saved in the cache, the storage is filled within a few days. Apps and websites cache a lot of data to reduce loading time. If you have an internet connection then this data is of no use to you. So delete the cache memory and free up space. To do this, follow the steps given below- Settings -> Storage & USB -> Internal Storage -> Cached Data
Reduce photo size
You do not necessarily have to keep pictures in the phone itself. Backup them online through Google Photos or other cloud storage apps. After that delete them from the phone. With this you will be able to free a lot of space. Apart from this you can resize the photos by downloading the Photo and picture resizer app. This will take less space in your storage. Don't forget to back up the photos with full resolution.
Delete downloads
Go to Downloads inside Settings. If you have downloaded a large file, delete it. Keep clearing the downloads from time to time, because sometimes there are such files lying in them, which are not useful.
Delete video
Videos also take up a lot of space. You can also backup them on the cloud or upload them privately on YouTube. After that delete them from the phone.
