Adah Sharma was born in Mumbai, a Tamil Brahmin family and was raised in Mumbai. Her father S. L. Sharma, who hails from Madurai, was a captain in the merchant navy and her mother, a native from Nattupura (bordering Palakkad), is a classical dancer.

Sharma had three releases in February 2016, two of which were in Telugu language.
