Mohan Das Karamchandra Gandhi was born on 2nd October 1869(Porbandhar,Gujrat).This day is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti in honour of his birthday.

Gandhi ji is popularly known as Bapuji meaning father. He was given the title Father of Nation by Subhash Chandra Bose.He was given this title because he had a vision for how the nation of India should function .Just as a parent should provide a child with physical and spiritual guidance Gandhi ji also nourished India and made roots of our country strong.

He taught us concept of Non- violence, truth and peace.

According to Gandhiji " Man is full of thoughts,what he thinks he becomes".So it is very important to follow the ideologies of Bapuji. In today's world terrorism has reached to its heights,people are running after wrong things either by fear or by enthusiasm. In this era it is very necessary to remember preachings of Bapuji.
