Heavy rain alert for Hyderabad till Saturday morning: IMD
Rains may lash Hyderabad and various parts of the state again. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in Hyderabad has once again issued an alert for Hyderabad until Saturday morning. 
Speaking to TNM, IMD Hyderabad Director YK Reddy said, “We have issued a heavy rain alert for Hyderabad till Saturday morning. Parts of the city will see rains. Across Telangana, there will be showers in isolated areas.”
Heavy rains are expected with Alwal, Chintal, Kapra, Serilingampally, Quthbullapur and Malkajgiri.
“Heavy rain very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Adilabad, Komuram Bheem-Asifabad, Nirmal and Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalle, JS-Bhupalapally, Mulugu and Nagarkurnool and Nalgonda districts,” the IMD alert for Friday said. 
The IMD said that 25% of the places in the state may receive heavy rainfall till Saturday morning.
Last week, rains brought Hyderabad to a standstill, and many areas in the city were inundated. Low-lying areas in the city were the worst-hit. 
Following the IMD alert. authorities of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), disaster management and the police have started taking precautionary measures.
Authorities have asked residents to plan their travel accordingly. The Director Of Enforcement, Vigilance & Disaster Management of the GHMC asked all concerned teams to be alert and be on the field.
The Cyberabad Traffic Police informed that there is traffic movement is slow from IKEA to NCB junction due to waterlogging at the free left of NCB Junction.
The traffic police have also advised commuters travelling from Tolichowki towards Gachibowli to take alternative routes for due to waterlogging near Orion Villas
