I knew Sitharaman well at JNU, we were often on similar sides: Abhijit

India-born 2019 Nobel Economics laureate Abhijit Banerjee in an interview to NDTV said he knew Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman “well” when the two were studying at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi. He added that they both stood on similar sides on certain issues during their academic years at the university. Banerjee completed his M.A. in Economics from JNU in 1983.
