Aishwarya Rai (now known as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) is an Indian film actress and former Miss World. Born on November 1st 1973, Aishwarya worked as a model before beginning her career in films and eventually won the Miss World beauty pageant in 1994. Aishwarya has modeled for leading brands such as Longines Watches, Coca Cola, Lakme Cosmetics, Philips, Palmolive, Lux and Fuji Films; she was also named the official brand ambassador of De Beers Diamonds in India.
Aishwarya has worked in over 40 films in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telegu and Bengali and is often referred to by the media as the “Most Beautiful Woman in the World”.
In 2007 Aishwarya Rai married fellow Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, son of the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, and together the couple have a daughter name Aradhya who was born on November 16th 2011.
