Social media platform TikTok has a lot of craze among people. This can be ascertained from the fact that there have been one and a half billion or 150 crore users of TikTok around the world. About half of these, 68 crore, have been linked only last year. However, it also includes the Chinese version of TikTok.
If we talk about India, there are around 30 crore active users at this time. But questions are being raised on security at TikTok. In the US, where there is a concern about the data of users, Israeli cyber security firm Chain Point has also reported hacking threats.

Cyber security research firm has identified hidden threats in the TikTok mobile app. Due to these weaknesses in the app, hackers can hack the account of users and steal their personal details. The firm says that they have given the information to TikTok authorities and have also given a solution so that they can tackle this problem.
In its report, Check Point Research said that a hacker can hack TikTok account via SMS. If users click that link, then the hacker gets control of their TikTok account. With the help of this, he can share anything on his account. This means that hackers can delete users' videos, upload them or make private videos public.

Check point says that due to this deficiency, personal information of users can also be leaked. The report says that a sub-domain of TicketLock is the reason for such an attack. However, according to the Times Now news, TikTok Security Team member Luke Deshotl said, "TikTok is committed to protecting the data of users. Like other institutions, we encourage various security researchers to disclose such flaws to us privately. Before going public, Check Point has confirmed that all the problems are resolved in the latest update. We expect security research firms to provide such information to us in future also.
