Puducherry bistro makes 321 kg chocolate statue to pay tribute to Abhinandan Varthaman

A bistro of chocolates and chocolate treats in Puducherry has demonstrated its regard to the Indian Air Force pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman by making a chocolate statue in his respect.
Established in 2009, the bistro every year offers its appreciation to well-known characters as life-sized, hand-created chocolate statues.

Abhinandan's chocolate statue is 5 feet 10 inches and weighs 321 kg, told Rajendra Tangarasu, the boss at the ZUKA bistro, who went through more than 132 hours in making the chocolate statue.

Wing Commander Varthaman shot into the spotlight after he destroyed a Pakistani airship F-16, which had violated into the Indian airspace during a pooch battle among Indian and Pakistani aviation based armed forces in February this year and all the while, his plane traversed to Pakistani side and was killed.
Previously, the bistro has made statues of Mahatma Gandhi, APJ Abdul Kalam, Charles Chaplin, Rajinikanth and MS Dhoni too.
