Priya Anand is an Indian film actress who appears predominantly in Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films. Other than being an actress, she is a well-known model and has come a long way in her career. On 20 June 2011, she was chosen as the ambassador for the "Save the Children" campaign for both Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Priya was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and she is 33 years old. Her father’s name is Bharadwaj and her mother’s name is Radha. Other than Tamil language, she is also proficient in various languages like English, Spanish, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi and Bengali. Initially, she was brought up in Chennai and Hyderabad. However, for pursuing her higher studies, she moved to the US. She completed her graduation in communications & journalism from the University of Alany.

In 2008, Priya returned to India and started her career as a model. During her modelling days, she has appeared in commercials like Prince Jewellery, Nutrine Maha Lacto & Cadbury Dairy Milk. In 2009, she made her acting debut with the Tamil movie ‘Vaamanan’ alongside with Jai. The film failed to impress the audience, however, the songs from the movie made Priya popular among the Tamil audience. In 2010, she made her Telugu debut with the movie ‘Leader’ alongside with Rana Daggubati. Although her screen presence in the film was very limited, her performance was heavily praised and accepted by the audience. On the same year, she has appeared in another Telugu movie ‘Rama Rama Krishna Krishna’ alongside with Ram Pothineni and Arjun Sarja.

In 2011, she has appeared in a Tamil movie ‘180’ alongside with Siddharth which was a bilingual Tamil-Telugu project by ad filmmaker Jayendra. In 2012, she made her Hindi debut with the movie ‘English Vinglish’ alongside with Sridevi. For this movie, Priya was nominated for Star Guild Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and Zee Cine Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female). After this movie, she has also appeared in two other Hindi movies, ‘Fukrey’ and ‘Rangrezz’ in 2013. Between 2013 and 2015, she has appeared in more than 6 Tamil films. In 2017, she made her Malayalam debut with the movie ‘Ezra’ alongside with Prithviraj. On the same year, she made her Kannada debut with the movie ‘Raajakumara’ alongside with Puneeth Rajkumar. This film received positive reviews from critics and audience.

In 2018, she has appeared in her second Malayalam movie ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’ alongside with Mohanlal and Nivin Pauly. Later in 2018, she has appeared in her second Kannada movie ‘Orange’ alongside with Ganesh. In 2019, she came back to Mollywood with the movie ‘Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel’ alongside with Dileep. Two of her upcoming movies are currently under production which includes Tamil movie ‘Sumo’ and Kannada movie ‘RDX’.

Priya is also very active on social media and she has around 798k followers on her Instagram page. Recently, she has shared some of her pictures in which she was seen wearing a beautiful saree with a perfect amount of make-up on. She was looking gorgeous in those pictures.
