Dubai: The Saudi Arabian administration is preparing to cancel the Haj pilgrimage due to the Corona virus outbreak this year. According to Saudi officials, a decision can be taken within a week on the 2020 Hajj trip. Let us know that every year about 20 lakh pilgrims come to Saudi Arabia for Haj. Earlier, in March, the Saudi administration had appealed to all countries to reduce the quota of Haj due to Corona virus infection.
The income from Hajj and Umrah plays an important role in Saudi Arabia's economy. It is believed that postponing the Hajj this year will severely hurt Saudi's economy. According to media reports, the Saudi administration is also considering a number of other sanctions this year, including a ban on elderly pilgrims and a serious health check-up.
Under this, only 20 per cent of the quota of Haj given to each country will be able to do Haj pilgrimage this time. Please tell that in Saudi Arabia also the cases of corona virus are increasing rapidly. As of Sunday, the number of infected has reached 123,308, while 932 people have died.
