Garbeta is a beautiful place, situated within the territory of Midnapore district in West Bengal. There are so many visiting places at Garbeta. How will you visit to Garbeta ? I will tell you how.
Here, I am going to discuss thoroughly as a tour guide that how you can visit to that place and enjoy the sight scenes there.
Garbeta is a Railway station in the Howrah-Bsnkura route. In this route, few trains are available from different Junction stations like Howrah, Santragachi etc. Here, I will tell you the best comfortable journey to reach Garbeta. At first you will go to Howrah station in the early morning by any local train of eastern railway and then by catching any local train of south eastern zone, you will go to Santragachi Junction. If you are living near Santragachi then you can ignore this part from the total journey. Remember one thing that the arrival time of Aranyak Express is 8 a.m and you have to pick that train. You can also catch this train from Kolkata shalimar station at 7.45 am if you are living nearby. Aranyak express takes about 2hours 50 minutes to reach Garbeta station. During this journey, the said train takes 6 halts namely Panskura, Kharagpur Junction, Midnapore, Salboni, Chandrakona Road and Garbeta. You can take some dry food with you if you want to avoid exterior foods.
Now after reaching the station, Garbeta at about 10.50 am, you can reserve any toto to reach Gangani first. This is one of best attraction of that place. This is known as Grand Canyon of Bengal. The rocky hills, the light green forest over the hills together with the Shilabati river, passing through it will definitely blow your mind.
But one precaution, you must maintain is that you should carefully climb up the surface of the high hills in order to avoid unwanted slippery.
This is an amazing place for decent photography.
After that the next attraction is Garbeta forest. You may take another to visit there but I suggest you to book a toto from Garbeta Railway station for visiting all the sight scenes. You must finish your lunch near Gangani and then start travelling to other sight scenes.

For entering into the deep forest, You need a permission from the office of Forest department there. But sometimes this is not needed. You can take a view, seating in that running toto for a while and then enjoy fully the beauty of green rainforest by walking through the narrow reddish way in between the forest. If you like adventure, then this is the proper destiny of you.
Besides, there are so many hindu temples, such as "Ma Sarbamangala Mandir" , "Baro shib mandir" etc that you must visit during the journey from Gangani to Garbeta Forest.
After completely enjoying this place, you may take Rupashi Bangla Express from Garbeta station at 5.45 p.m. at evening. The main facility of catching the train is that it will come to Howrah station directly at near about 9.15 pm.If you are living such a city or village that reaching the Howrah station is neccessary, then you should follow the track that i have mentioned earlier.
Finally, after reaching Howrah station, you can take any local train to go to the railway station near your home city or village. If you are inhabitants of Kolkata or nearby places, then you can take any alternative vehicle to reach at your home.
Garbeta tour is a short trip for one day. If you want to stay anywhere in that route then I suggest you to stay at Bishnupur because this is also an attracting place for tourists. Hope, you will enjoy your journey.
